The practice exists to do one thing well: give people a straight answer about the building they are about to spend their money on.
There is no panel, no lender allocating the job and no call centre in between. You ring, and you speak to the surveyor who will stand in the property. That same person writes the report and picks up the phone afterwards.
More than thirty years in the local property market means the housing stock here is familiar — Sheffield stone, Victorian terraces, back-to-backs, gritstone cottages, 1930s semis, heavily altered houses and Derbyshire rural properties. That is what makes the difference between listing what is there and explaining what it means.
Riddle & Co is regulated by RICS and works across Sheffield, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
The surveyor
Nick, MRICS
Nick is a chartered surveyor and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, with more than thirty years’ experience of the local residential property market.
He carries out every inspection personally, writes every report, and is available afterwards to talk through what he found.
